„The right product at the right time“

 

Christian Markard works as carpenter at L.T. Cases. He explains that amongst the company's products are flight cases which are high-quality packaging products that are primarily used in the music industry, but are also found in trade fair construction, medical technology and catering.

 

Many of L.T. Cases' customers are companies that lend music equipment to artists. For example, L.T. Cases products have already been used on Michael Jackson's tours.

In principle, however, the possible uses of the flight cases are unlimited: "For example, we also produced cases for the animal edition of the Body Worlds exhibition to transport stuffed elephants and giraffes."

 

 

The collaboration with ROCA Industry came about by chance: "We were a real 'trade fair catch'.  We actually thought that boat fittings were of no interest to us, but then Mrs Dirscherl explained to us what advantages ROCA hinges could have."

Since then, L.T. Cases has been using the Rakego hinge for its Flip Case. This case is used for the safe transport of mixing consoles. In the past, the console had to be carried and set up by two people. But in the music industry in particular, this process needs to be quick: "By combining the ROCA hinge with a gas pressure spring, you can easily set the case up on your own. This saves both time and effort."

 

 

Working with ROCA Industry is smooth in every respect, he explains: "Everyone is very nice. I simply call my contact person and place my order."

There has not been a single complaint during the entire collaboration so far: "I really do not have anything bad to say. The hinge is perfect for us. It’s not cheap, but it's worth it."

 

 

Christian Markard could imagine that the hinge also offers many advantages for the furniture industry: "The hinge fits down to the millimeter and it's surface is absolutely high-quality."

At the end of our conversation, Christian Markard concludes: "The Rakego hinge was the right product at the right time."
