New black electro coating (BLEC) finish for marine hinges
We are pleased to announce the introduction of a new Black Electro Coating (BLEC) finish across several of our precision-engineered marine hinges. This finish has been developed to meet the growing demand for components that combine enhanced corrosion resistance with a modern, low-reflective appearance suitable for contemporary marine applications.
Technical overview
The BLEC finish is an electrochemical coating process that provides a durable, uniform black surface while maintaining tight dimensional tolerances. It delivers excellent protection against saltwater corrosion, UV exposure, and general environmental wear - essential properties for marine hardware operating in harsh conditions.
This finish also offers a hard, smooth surface that minimizes maintenance requirements and resists pitting and discoloration over time. As a result, BLEC-treated components provide an extended service life and consistent visual quality in demanding environments.
