ROCA Industry at Interzum 2025: Innovation and intuitive design
As Interzum 2025 kicks off on May 20th in Cologne, we at ROCA Industry are gearing up to welcome visitors at our trade fair booth. Situated in Hall 7.01 / E028, the ROCA team is excited to showcase a combination of innovative, space-saving engineering and sleek design aesthetics. We sat down with Michael Peng, Sales Representative for Asia & Pacific, to talk about what visitors can expect this year.
“If you're looking for innovative, space-saving, concealed design and beautifully engineered solutions, ROCA's booth is a must-visit," Michael Peng says.
Why stop by ROCA’s booth?
Visitors can look forward to a hands-on experience with ROCA’s wide product lineup. From the large selection of folding bracket solutions to sleek, ergonomic demonstrations, our staff will present real solutions for compact, modern living.
“We’ve got ergonomic designs, hands-on demos, and practical ideas for anyone into space-saving, sleek furniture solutions,” Michael says.
Among the key highlights are the Robust, Rakego and Regal folding brackets and the Rakego hinge. In other words a range of interior fittings that are as functional as they are beautiful. And yes, there's even a comfy couch in the booth for those looking to take a break or test the vibe (more about the couch later).
A booth that evolves like the brand
ROCA Industry's booth has undergone a noticeable transformation over the years, since our first participation in 2019. As Michael puts it:
“Our booth reflects our products - precise, minimalist, and focused on design functionality. This year, the setup as interactive as it can get. With real-life applications, visitors can see, touch, and experience how ROCA’s hardware performs in real environments."
On-site will also be the ROCA folding brackets configurators, which the team will happily walk you through.
ROCA and Interzum: A relationship built on innovation
ROCA has been part of the Interzum story since 2019, and Michael says the event remains a crucial touchpoint for the brand:
“Interzum is one of the most important global stages for us - not just to present our products, but to connect directly with manufacturers, architects, designers, and distributors from around the world.”
Alongside Michael, other key team members - Thomas Nowaczyk and Florian Schadendorf from the DACH office, and our product developer Lars Wänglund - will also be present at the booth to share insights and connect with attendees.
Field-tested... almost
When asked about memorable moments at past Interzums, Michael laughs:
“Oh, there are always surprises. Our Robust series is known for its massive 400 kg load capacity. When people hear that, they get super excited and want to try it out - by sitting on it!”
While the bracket may be able to handle it, Michael is quick to remind visitors that the wall mount at the exhibition probably can’t.
“That’s when I this year will point them toward the couch instead,” he jokes.
The couch itself will be the field test, because it’s built using our very own folding brackets.
“So yes, visitors can sit on this one. It’s the perfect way to showcase how our fittings work in a real-life setup - strong, reliable, and effortlessly integrated”, Michael says.
Why Interzum stands out
Michael describes Interzum as a global crossroads of design and innovation:
“It’s full of new ideas. You get to see the latest from all over the world, talk to passionate people, and explore where design is heading. Most importantly, you can touch, test, and talk about the products directly with the people behind them.”
And while he’ll be holding down the fort at ROCA’s booth, Michael is also looking forward to exploring the fair himself:
“I love checking out smart, compact living concepts. It’s great for getting fresh ideas and seeing how different approaches are shaping the future of design.”
